London house prices are something that affect us all. The price of properties have increased so much it can be hard to even put the numbers into perspective to see the scale of the problem. 

We decided to show what the figures actually look like by changing the price of every day groceries to show what they'd cost if their prices mirrored the rate of inflation in different London boroughs.  

A couple of hours of Photoshop later, we quietly hacked our local Tescos, replacing their original labels with our altered versions.

Yes, you did see correctly, that would be £36.33 for some cheddar.   

Our little stunt got picked up by The Huffington Post, The Metro, The Sun, The Daily Mail, Buzzfeed, ITV News, publications in Thailand, Iran and China, even, ironically, an estate agent website.
